Opening Day “Coping” Exhibition
After being declined for an exhibition proposal by a local gallery, I reflected on my previous DIY musician ethos and thought, "we'll build one ourselves".
My partner, musician Marty Xennoff, helped with the setup: a charming little window, proper track lighting, replacement of dodgy floorboards... while I patched, painted, sanded and desperately tried to keep dust of my growing body of work for the Coping exhibition.
We're really proud of what we've built. The gallery is also my working studio, so for now I use it for myself and my friends. We've hosted talks, sewing circles, an Advanced Care Directive workshop (!) and I'm excited to be in discussion around some other infrequent events...
